Pinterest: A Look Back and Now! (2012 - 2015) : Update 2016 : Affiliate Links are Allowed

This post was published here January 13th, 2016.

Having been active on Pinterest since it began, it has been interesting to watch the social media site evolve and quickly gain a footing right next to the established giants like Facebook and Twitter, and carve out their lion's share.

Pinterest: A Look Back and Now! (2012 - 2015)

Back in 2012 this was the latest news concerning the new kid on the block, i.e. Pinterest. ... the increasingly popular pinboarding social network, is able to present a visually arresting interface in large part by using copyrighted images pinned by users.

When this content was published, Pinterest had banned the use of affiliate links.

That was then.  This is now.

Here's a great article for work at home mom, written by a work at home dad.

Renaissance Man or Mad Man?

Jose Sanchez is marketing manager at Uberflip, who wrote this article and published it with an infographic.  It was tagged "General Management" and "Marketing" and since in my "organization" I wear both of those hats - i.e. general manager and person in charge of marketing :-) - hoped to extract a few pointers.  This article was recommended by the Editors of CMO.com.  When editors give you a thumbs up that's usually a good indicator.  It's an informative article.  But the introduction given by the Editors as a lead-in is a RE-quoteworthy.

From the Editors : Back in his day--and we're talking 500 years ago--Leonardi da Vinci was a master of both art and science, described as a man of "unquenchable curiosity." Seems as if he had the right stuff for the modern-day chief marketing role, don't you think? Our lead article and infographic, "Today's CMO: More Renaissance Man Than 'Mad Man,'" paints a clear picture of the many new skills marketers must possess to help shape their companies' success. ...

Who wouldn't want to read the article after a lead-in like that??

NOTE:  I was also intrigued because the mention of a Renaissance Man reminded me of one of my own articles - which is in no way related to the topic other than the fact that it also discusses others who like Mr. Da Vinci were thought to be Renaissance Men.  I also wear a freelance writer hat.  What can I say?  I wear a lot of hats and do my best to try to make it look easy and "flawless".  Wake up each day determined to succeed on my mission to STOP "The Nothing". :)

Affiliate Marketing Tip: Z is for Zazzle

Here is some advice for the enthusiastic Zazzle sellers (store owners) and affiliates who are and determined to succeed in the world of online business. Supplying a link (below) to an article written by a fellow freelance writer whose advice for becoming a successful online entrepreneur is invaluable. Although you may have to read her pages two or three times. She gets so excited about sharing her success secrets, sometimes her language shoots right over your head. (Love you Jo ! Mean that in a nice way! :) ) Reviewed her Zazzle tips multiple times and did finally latch on to a key piece of advice that proved to be extremely helpful for finding Zazzle products to promote at my blogs as an affiliate advertiser. But her page was written for those who have Zazzle stores, i.e. sellers.

Jo's webpage -
How to Add an Affiliated Zazzle Store RSS Feed into Weebly
- was categorized under “ Internet Marketing : Making Money Online ”.

However, at this same site you can find a few more articles specifically devoted to “ Ecommerce Tips : Zazzle Sellers and Tips ”.

Hope this information helps my fellow Zazzle affiliate marketers out there.  (Suggested Zazzle products displayed in feed below.)
